Entering Iowa

We entered Iowa at 11:12pm. It will be hard to wake Flat Stanley. It will be good for him though because he needs to get out and stretch his legs and get some fresh air. It will also be good for my ears because he is snoring.We are stopping as we enter each state to get a picture of the state sign. Flat Stanley insists on being in as many pictures as possible especially the state sign pictures. For all of you that are following, I need to introduce you to just who and what Flat Stanley is and why he is so important. We received a letter in the mail from my neice Brooklin Taylor. She sent my family "Flat Stanley" to go on our trip with us. This trip is a 16 day, 14 state, 5000+ mile trip.Flat Stanley is a storybook character who was flattened by a bulletin board in the story. The story tells of his adventures while he is flat. Brooklin's class at Bergman Elementary is doing a project before school lets out. They are sending Flat Stanleys out to different people that they know. They have given specific instructions to make sure that Flat Stanley is back from his trip before May 30th, the last day of school. We are enjoying his company and he said to tell everyone Hello and give them lots of hugs.
